Sproul Trost assists a wide-range of clients concerning permitting, siting, compliance and mitigation of environmental and land-use disputes on the local, state and federal levels.  The practice includes the representation of large power producers in the permitting and siting of natural-gas fired, wind, solar and biomass power plants, as well as the defense of large landfill operations before state and local administrative agencies, trial and appellate courts.  The firm’s extensive experience has included interpretation and compliance with air and land-use requirements (including BACT standards, criteria and non-criteria pollutant compliance, zoning, ordinance and general plan compliance and mitigation, environmental justice analysis) as well as compliance and mitigation requirements for CEQA, Clean Water Act, Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act, Integrated Waste Management Act, and California and Federal Endangered Species Act.
